What is a Recruiter?
Recruiters are used in most industries to find qualified candidates for job openings within a company, business or organization. These are generally called Corporate recruiters and they can work within the company as a staff member or as an outside consultant to find new employees. Recruiters are generally always used for higher level positions in management to screen candidates for the employer and to ensure that the qualifications match the position. Large companies have one or more recruiters on staff because they are always hiring but might use outside recruiters for specialized jobs or positions that are more difficult to fill.

Other types of recruiters are Military or College recruiters who look for candidates to join the military or to go to specific colleges or universities. Military recruiters might set up an office where they can screen potential candidates or a recruiter goes to high Schools and various other educational venues. They give talks about life in the military and the various types of options and jobs available. College recruiters go to high school campuses as well to try and lure potential students to their college or University. They interview candidates and see if their career goals fit with the curriculums offered at their particular college.
