About Morey
Morey K. Milbradt's vision of 'The Big Outside' as he calls it, is one of wind sculptured rock, thunderous seashores, wildflowers in mountain valleys, colorful skies across the Sonoran Desert and everything in-between. He feels very blessed just to be able to be out and see God's handiwork. Morey lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife, Nancy.
His love for the western landscape has made his photography what it is today. The intense colors and detail to the forms and lines that are overlooked by so many is brought to life with his 4x5, 6x7, 6x17, 35mm and digital cameras. Morey's work has been published for over ten years by magazines like Arizona Highways, Readers Digest, Country, Country Extra, Ranch & Farm Living and sold worldwide to calendar companies and many others through stock agencies.
Morey's Progression to Full Time Professional Photographer
When I look back to the early nineties and the first used 35mm camera I purchased, I never really thought I would be at the place where I am now. I have been engaged in photography full-time for five years now without the 'Day Job' and staying very busy.
My experience is mainly from trial and error. By being very persistent and taking advice from photographers that have more experience, this has elevated me to my current position.
I have two stock agencies where my images are featured; one in South Pasadena, CA (Jupiter) and the other one is in the Chicago area (Panoramic Images). These two agencies account for three quarters of my income. The remaining portion is from calendar and magazine sales. I also maintain my own site at www.bigwidepictures.com.
In 2002 my work was featured in Image Designs by Nature Gallery in Fountain Hills, AZ. Also in 2005, my images were in the Sedona Art Center in Sedona, AZ. The whole digital field that is opening up now is very exciting. The products that are coming out are getting better and better everyday, making my job easier.
